Trying to build muscle and burn fat efficiently can be a tough endeavor. While creating a caloric deficit through diet should be your first priority, using metabolic finishers can be a great addition to your arsenal to get the job done quickly.

A metabolic finisher is a short combination of strength and conditioning exercises with little to no rest between them meant to add volume to your training session while simultaneously improving conditioning and increasing calories burned.

You will typically need no longer than 10-12 minutes to reap the benefits of a finisher.

You should do a finisher at the end of your strength workout. I recommend keeping your total training time to under 1 hour, so strive to finish your strength training in about 45 minutes.

The best aspect of a finisher is you can customize it to your goals, and mix it up with any combination you choose. The only limits are your imagination.
