If you are like most people you may say, I don’t have time to meditate. It is not easy to
stop and concentrate on our breath when we are overwhelmed with work or we need to helpthe kids get ready. The truth is, if you think you don’t have time to meditate, it is a sign that
you really need it. If you have children, wake up 15 minutes early and dedicate 10 minutes to
grounding and meditating. You need to see meditation as something essential or you will
always find an excuse not to do it. Think about meditation as a shower to your mind. You
wash your body every single day. You might miss one day but most people can’t go three
days without taking a shower. Why would we not take care of our minds as well as we take
care of our physical bodies? Start small. Don’t overwhelm yourself by saying, “from now own
I will meditate half an hour every day!” Instead, how about 10 minutes? Too much? Try 5!
Don’t let what you can’t do stop you from doing what you can! Do you want to make it
easier? Start a challenge with a friend. Tag a friend who will keep you committed. Who can
you take this challenge with? Challenge each other to meditate for 5 minutes every morning
for 30 days. Share your results with us after this experiment!
