So you’ve prophesied me say it before. If you’re stuck, new, and not seeing results you must start tracking your food. So how do you do that?

First you have to understand your macronutrients. They are proteins, carbs, and fats. Proteins and carbs are each 4 calories per gram while fat is 9 cal and alcohol is 7 cal. Knowing this will go a long way, but don’t freak out if you don’t. You can just do the next part.

Knowing your daily macro requirements. This is the one most people get wrong and struggle with. They calculate their macros off a calculator online and think they have it set but then get frustrated because they’re not seeing the results. .
That’s because in the 19 years of doing this I’ve never seen a calculator thats 100% accurate. There are way too many variables. You can have two people the same age, height, weight with completely different requirements. The other thing you MUST realize is that as your body changes the macros need to be adjusted frequently as well. People either don’t do this or they do it wrong is what causes the lack of results and frustration.

Using a tracking app will also be the most accurate when tracking versus using a pen and paper. It will also save you time as well. .
