The first thing I ask them is, ‘well what are you doing right now to lose fat?’. Most of the time answer is something along the lines of ‘I tried X fad diet and X juice cleanse but they didn’t work. I also do cardio 5x a week’

Now this isn’t necessarily wrong, I know it’s fairly hard to figure out what information and products are real and what is fake because let’s be honest here. The fitness and especially supplement industry is somewhat shady and if you’re just starting, it can be a real maze to get through..

Here’s what you want to be doing to really lose fat:
? Dial in your nutrition. Be in a caloric deficit and eat adequate protein, eat mostly whole foods and all that good stuff.
? Strength train 2-5x a week.
? Sleep well and make sure your stress levels aren’t through the roof.
?Now if we nailed all of these things, we can look at how much cardio you should do.

I know it’s not really what you want to hear, but it’s the truth and I can’t really package it any better..
