Bee Sting (and Other Insect Bites)

At one time or another you or somebody you care for will suffer by being bitten by a bee or another type of insect. Most of these are just bothersome and mildly painful but some, if not attended to, can create more serious health complications for you so it’s always handy to have a bee sting therapy for use in a case like this. Treating bee stings can be very simple and we’ll look at some methods here.

Most insect stings you can treat at home once you know how to do it properly. I say properly because if you do it certain ways you could aggravate the situation and make matters worse.

One example of this is when you have a stinger in your finger, toe or whichever body part the insect stung you and you try to remove it the wrong way. This actually causes a poison sac with venom in it to burst sending more venom into your body.

The ideal way to remove the stinger is to take a credit card, or you can also use your fingernail, and scrape the stinger out.

You should elevate the affected area to minimize inflammation. Applying ice is also helpful in minimizing the swelling of the area.

A paste of baking soda and water can be applied to the area to help with the itching.

An old home remedy that you can use, that I, personally, have used in the past is to take the leaves of 3 different plants (not stinging nettle) and crush them between your fingers and then rub them on the bite. As crazy as this sounds I have seen the proof of its effectiveness. This remedy is so effective I have witnessed it work overnight.

Pure-Heal Gel™ – Natural soothing gel provides skin support for everyday minor mishaps. Pure-Heal Gel is a 100% safe and natural topical herbal gel that helps to support and soothe the skin after minor mishaps and everyday insect bites and is an effective bee sting therapy.

Meat tenderizer has also been used by many to help with insect bites or stings. You may already have this in your kitchen so give it a try.

Another home remedy is to rub a wet aspirin on the bite. As you can see there are many natural healing remedies for bee stings or insect bites so keep trying until you find what works for you.
