?Try This Stretch With Back Pain?⠀

#PuppyPose is a great shoulder opening pose, but it’s difficult to access to the shoulder when your chest is not on the mat ? And this is so hard if you have tight shoulder. But you can still practice this pose using a block ?⠀

?Simply place a block (or two) under the chest. You can melt your heart down when there’s something to press! Arch your whole spine, and make your chest the heaviest point ⬇️⠀

?Aligh your knees under your hips, or BEHIND. Walk your knees back as much as you need to descend your chest on a block.⠀
.⠀
? Straighten your arms! Bent elbows cause terrible pain in deltoid (top of shoulder)? .⠀
? Ideally your arms are parallel, but you can widen your hands if you have tight shoulder ☝️⠀
.⠀
?Most importantly, relax and hold about 5-10 long breath ? Close your eyes, and soften your eyebrows. You’ll get more ease in the pose ?⠀

This is one of my favourite warm up for backbend. You literally create so much space in shoulder and heart areas ♥️ Enjoy your practice!⠀
